About us
Football Families for Justice (FFJ), a voluntary organisation dedicated to championing the rights and well-being of former professional football players who face a harrowing legacy of neuro-degenerative diseases. Studies show that ex-footballers are four to five times more likely to suffer from devastating conditions like Alzheimer’s, Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE), Motor Neurone Disease (MND), and Parkinson’s.

At FFJ, we’re here to advocate for these players and their families, bringing attention to the unseen impacts of football and fighting for the justice they deserve. Join us in our mission to support these athletes, honor their sacrifices, and push for a future where no family is left alone in their struggle.
Our Mission
We call on the leaders of the football industry to act with urgency in allocating a small proportion of their massive wealth to address the tragedy of dementia and other neuro-degenerative diseases suffered by so many ex-professionals. It is essential to meet the needs of these victims with respect and kindness through best-in-class support, including care home costs and financial assistance for their widows, as required.

We are also proud to have the support of the Football Supporters Association (FSA) in campaigning for this critical goal.
Statistics

Premier League TV rights: £10 billion
-
Players Foundation/PFA Charity: £50 million in cash assets
-
PFA Union leader salary: £650,000 annually
-
PFA Union income: £26 million per year from Premier League contributions—funds donated by players themselves
-
Replica shirt sales: Approximately £200 million annually
-
2023 Summer transfer fees: £2.4 billion
-
Payments to agents in 2022: £320 million
